What the server keeps

When you turn on alerts in the iPhone app, the Queue Drops server keeps what it needs to send them, against your device's push token from Apple:

None of this names you. When you delete the app, Apple stops accepting its token and the server deletes the device the next time it tries to reach it.

The server also keeps daily totals of how it is used, such as how many alerts it sent, how many times each park was looked at and how many devices used it each day. They are counts only, with no push tokens, addresses or anything that could tell one person's use from another's.

What stays on your iPhone

Your location, motion readings for ride detection, your queue timer and ride log stay on your iPhone. When a queue ends, the app tells the server only which ride it was, how many minutes it took, whether you rode and whether it was Fast Track, without your device token, and the server adds it to the day's totals. Park visits are kept on your iPhone and, with “Keep in iCloud” on, in your own iCloud account. The server never receives them; the visits page signs in with your Apple Account and reads them from iCloud in your browser.

Purchases

Apple handles payment. Queue Drops sees only the signed record of what you bought, to check it.

Queue times

Wait times come from ThemeParks.wiki. Queue Drops is not affiliated with any park or park operator.
